Description: Heartwood ranges from pale pink to a deeper reddish brown. Darkens with age. Grain is straight to interlocked. Moderate to poor insect/borer resistance. Easy to work with hand or machine tools. May stain and react to iron. Glues, turns, and finishes well.

Common Uses: Turned items, furniture, boatbuilding, and interior trim.
