Description: Heartwood is a light to medium brown color. Has a medium to coarse texture. Grain is almost always straight and regular. Ash is perishable and not resistant to insect attack. Produces good results with hand or machine tools. Responds well to steam bending. Glues, stains, and finishes well.

Common Uses: Millwork, boxes/creates, baseball bats, turned objects, and tool handles.
