Description: European Beech has a pale straw color, sometimes with a pink or brown hue. Grain is straight. Beech is considered non-durable or perishable; poor insect/borer resistance. It machines well, and glues, finishes, and turns well. Beech also responds great to steam-bending.

Common Uses: Flooring, boatbuilding, furniture, cabinetry, musical instruments, plywood, and turned objects.
