Description: Heartwood can vary from pale pinkish orange to a deep brownish red. Will darken to a reddish/purplish brown without UV-inhibiting finish. Grin is usually straight. Excellent decay resistance as well as resistant to termites and other insects. Paduak is easy to work, turning and gluing well. Reactive oil-based finishes require the paduak to be properly sealed first.

Common Uses: Turned objects, musical instruments, furniture, and tool handles.
