Description: Heartwood ranges from pale to golden yellow, darkening only slightly with age. Grain is usually straight, while some figured pieces may be wavy or interlocked. Moderately durable in decay resistance. Yellowheart is normally easy to work with hand or machine tools, though figured pieces can be more difficult. Glues and finishes well.
